For future generations to thrive, they will need food grown in a healthy environment. Basic necessities for good health include nutrient rich soil, biodiversity, clean air and water, and organic farming is a proven method for preserving these natural resources. The co-op will support this and other sustainable practices by carefully considering where its dollars are spent when stocking its shelves and by labeling its goods. Leaving a land of plenty for generations to come is possible when empowered and thoughtful people work together cooperatively.
